Oak-bark-tanned belts, hand-stitched wallets

Where
Portland Works, S2 4SJ

Wilebore works from Portland Works, the former Robert Mosley cutlery factory, using traditional tools and techniques. The bronze and brass belt buckles are cast in Sheffield and finished by hand.

The belts are cut from oak-bark-tanned leather from J&FJ Baker & Co in Colyton, Devon, which Wilebore describes as the last remaining oak bark tannery in the country. They're cut to your measurements. A belt costs £75 with a stock buckle or £100 with a handmade solid brass one. Wallets are hand-stitched vegetable-tanned leather. Custom work runs from knife sheaths to Lambretta seat covers, and repairs are taken on.

"Not a throw away item, but an heirloom in the making."
