Scavenger makes wallets, belts and dog leads from retired climbing gear, next door to the Foundry Climbing Centre. The founder started out in the attic of a terraced house in Crookes, bringing together her love of climbing and the environment. More than a decade on, Scavenger has its own workshop and a team of two, who make, pack and post every order by hand.
The idea is to give old materials a new purpose, so that each piece carries the story of the adventures it has already been on.
