Francesca Hague founded Grey Suit Clay, her small-batch ceramics studio, in 2015. It's based at Sheaf Plate Works on Arundel Street. Using a mix of wheel-throwing and slip-casting, she finishes every piece by hand, aiming for work that is "well used and well loved".
She makes tableware for restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Her work has been featured in Elle Decor, and her designs have been used on the BBC's Great British Menu. Her own collection sells through quarterly restocks of the online shop and by private commission.
