The Goral family began making shoes in a small workshop in Poland in 1936 and moved home and craft to Sheffield in 2005. The fourth generation now runs Goral & Son, a larger Sheffield workshop opened by HRH The Princess Royal in 2018. It makes Goral's own line and also produces for other British fashion brands.
Every pair is built to be resoled from day one. When the sole wears down, you send the shoes back for a REBUILD+, and Goral restores them "ready for another decade of wear". There's no fashion calendar, just a core collection made to order or in small batches. "A rebuilt pair carries character, patina and history you just can't replicate."
