Will Ferraby describes himself as a knife artist. He makes one-off hand-forged kitchen knives in Sheffield from Sheffield steel, with handles of ethical woods, recycled materials and his own handmade composite layers. His methods mix traditional forging with the latest technology.
He says he is pushing the boundaries, experimenting with new materials and making "world firsts". The range takes in chef's knives, santokus, pettys and his own Ferraby5. No two knives are the same, and they go on sale only once a year.
