Ernest Wright makes scissors and shears in small batches at its Kutrite Works in Sheffield city centre. The Turton kitchen scissors are hot drop forged in 420B stainless steel and polished by hand.
Every pair carries a lifetime warranty, and there is a maintenance service to keep them cutting. The firm holds the Made in Sheffield mark and won the Heritage Crafts Association President's Award for Endangered Crafts. Batches can take up to 12 weeks.
