Wheel-thrown functional pottery

- Sheffield
Carla Murdoch is a studio potter in Sheffield. She graduated in Glass and Ceramics from the University of Sunderland in 2010, and makes functional pottery for the table and home, inspired by her travels through Europe and Asia.
Every piece is thrown on the wheel with close attention to proportion, balance and feel, "from the rim of a cup meeting the lip to the curve of a bowl held in the hand". She finishes them with glazes developed in her own studio, which give a soft, subtle palette.
