Park Hill was built between 1957 and 1960 on the hill above the station, opened in 1961, and has been Grade II* listed since 1998. Urban Splash has been redeveloping it in phases, and it has been shortlisted twice for the RIBA Stirling Prize: Phase 1, by Hawkins\Brown with Studio Egret West, in 2013, and Phase 2, by Mikhail Riches, in 2024. Pearl, Bench La Cave and South Street Kitchen are right on the doorstep.
