The Abbeydale Picture House opened on 20 December 1920 and is now Grade II listed, and it still anchors the road. Around it is one of Sheffield's best runs of independent food and drink, with North Town, the Broadfield, Two Thirds and Forge Bakehouse all along the road. Nether Edge sits just behind it, a quieter residential neighbourhood.
